- Any employee found to be unlawfully in possession of, selling, using or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or illegal substances while on South Florida Security Group’s or any of it’s client’s property or during work hours will be disciplined, up to and including termination. All illegal substances found will be confiscated and turned over to the proper authorities.
- South Florida Security Group will take action against employees arrested for off-the-job drug/alcohol/substance abuse activity, up to and including discharge. Additionally, any employee found to be unlawfully involved with drugs or controlled substance on their own time will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
- Any employee undergoing prescribed medical treatment with a drug or controlled substance that may alter his/her physical or mental abilities must report this fact to South Florida Security Group, or have his/her physician report this fact immediately. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
- Any employee who is reasonably suspected of alcohol, drug or controlled substance abuse, or who is considered unfit to work or found by drug screen urinalysis test, blood alcohol test or alcohol breath test to have alcohol, drugs or controlled substances in his/her system, shall not be permitted to remain on the job or on South Florida Security Group’s or our client’s property. Said employee will face disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
- If reliable information comes to South Florida Security Group’s attention that an employee may be a drug user or alcohol/substance abuser, he/she shall be directed to submit immediately to a drug screen urinalysis test, blood alcohol test or alcohol analysis test. Pending the results, South Florida Security Group may, in the interim, reassign the employee to other work or suspend the employee without pay.
- Employees may be directed to submit to unannounced random drug screen urinalysis test, blood alcohol testing or alcohol breath analysis testing. Any employees directed to submit to this testing who refuse to cooperate will be disciplined up to and including termination.
- If an employee receives a D.U.I. while operating a company or client vehicle, irrespective of a withheld judgment, he/she shall immediately be subject to termination.
